So this is my entry to #DAmusicproject's February Competition. The lyric I took was "Turn into something beautiful" from Yellow, by Coldplay
This is an idea I've had lulling about in my brain for quite some time now. When I was younger, I used to think that if you planted any seed into the ground, it'd grow. Ah, youth and stupidity. But yes, this is just a short story Not based on anyone, or anything in particular, I made it up as I went along. Plus I really love this song <3 I would've liked to have found a version which sounded MORE like the piano, than a keyboard. But that's just my preference, because I can tell the difference between the two
Anyway, hope you enjoy it guys <3 It's been a LONG LONG LONG while since I've done any proper animating with flash, so I may have cheated a little... Or a lot...
Also, thanks to ~zeedox for his critiques I know there are lots of other things that could be improved on... So if you point them out, I MAY change things, depends on how I feel
That was entirely unexpected, not because I thought you incapable but because it's different from what I've seen from you. And I like it! There are, as always, a few things I could say about it. Not about the flash or actual animation since that is not my forte (who am I kidding, I know nothing about flash or animation) but the theatrical and story telling elements.
It tells the story, you get the emotion but all it needs is a bit of polish to make it superb. For example, set the length of the animation to the length of the music. I had to sit and watch "Replay?" for 30 seconds because I wanted to hear the end of the song. The easy way to fix this is slow the animation down but don't change anything else. You fit quite a bit of story in less than 1 minute; by lengthening the animation you have more time to bond with the characters.
Like I said, little things like that and it would raise the level from "captivating" to "enraptured". Seriously, try and prove me wrong... Despite all the little changes I would like to see you make, it still gave me goosebumps when I watched it. It's nice to see this is how you've been spending your free time.
I DID want to try to fit the story into the 2+ minutes of the song but at the time couldn't think of much more to add. And I didn't want to make the animations to go too slowly either xD So I might make some of the animations go on for a bit longer, but I'll probably only bring myself to add a few seconds.

When I do add to it, I'll update it
great work
